Approving a Claim

Approving a claim confirms the loss is covered. It unlocks the Claim Actions page, where you complete reimbursement and closure.

Process Claim — dropdown with two options: Process Claim (approve path) and Deny. Available on any non-closed claim.

Show Claim Activity — opens the right sidebar showing Comments and Tasks. Comments are internal to B&B; dealers cannot see them.

Detail tabs — review Overview, Product, Policies, and Customer before taking action. Timeline shows the full audit log.

Estimates — any submitted estimates appear here. Review and resolve an estimate before processing the claim.

Open the claim from your Claims inbox. You can use the Search Claims bar or filter by status.

On the claim detail page, review the Overview, Product, Policies, and Customer tabs to confirm coverage.

Click Approve in the top-right actions area. A confirmation modal appears.
If the claim has an open estimate, you must approve or deny the estimate before approving the claim.

Confirm the approval. The claim status moves to Approved and the Claim Actions tab becomes available.

Claim & Estimate Statuses

What each status means and what action, if any, is required.

Claim Statuses
Status What it means Who sees it / acts on it
New Claim submitted, not yet assigned or reviewed B&B team assigns and begins review
In Progress Claim is being actively reviewed by an adjuster B&B team
Approved Covered loss confirmed; Claim Actions now available B&B team actions the claim
Pending Info B&B is waiting on documentation or information Dealer uploads requested documents
Denied Claim not covered; closed with a denial reason No further action required
Closed Claim fully resolved and closed No further action required
Estimate Statuses
Status What it means Who acts on it
Draft Dealer has started but not yet submitted the estimate Dealer submits
Submitted Estimate sent to B&B for review B&B reviews line items
Revision Requested B&B has sent back changes for the dealer to address Dealer revises and resubmits
Approved B&B has approved the estimate; dealer can proceed with repair Dealer uploads final RO
Denied Estimate not approved; dealer notified with reason No further estimate action
